This bed rail is not compatible with beds that has adjustable bases, hospital beds, or beds with an extra soft mattress. Compatibility and fit vary from bed to bed. Installation 101 The Bed Rail comes with the following: Guard railTwo base tubes with attached safety strapHardware and wrench Installation 101 Installing on the Bed The Bedside Extend-A-Rail can be installed on either side of the bed with no modification. To install the bed rail on the bed, slide the base tubes underneath the mattress. The bed rail should be placed 12.5 inches from the head of the bed and sit flush with the side of the mattress.
