When air gets trapped in concrete during mixing, it can create foam that results in lightweight, weak concrete.This defoamer works by destabilizing foam generated from ingredients like polymers, superplasticizers, and pigments, helping prevent foam formation from the start. The product breaks down tiny air bubbles into larger ones that can more easily escape from fluid concrete mixtures.For optimal results, UltraDense should be pre-blended with dry ingredients at the beginning of mixing, with a suggested starting dosage of 0.1% of total cementitious weight. The dosage can be adjusted within a range of 0.05% to 0.2%, though it's crucial not to overdose as this can increase air content.For maximum effectiveness, UltraDense works best when paired with a powerful superplasticizer like Integrity UltraFlow, particularly in fluid concrete applications.When using polymer-based concrete mixes, UltraDense is highly recommended unless you're using Integrity PowerPack, which already contains the optimal proportion of polymer and defoamer.
