(1) Remove the screw that secures the upper part of the handle to the lower part. (2) Lift the upper part of the handle from the lower half. 2. Unplug the power cord. (1) Remove the two screws securing the power cord clip to the lower handle. (2) Remove the wire clip. (3) Remove the screw that secures the switch to the lower handle. (4) Lift the switch assembly from the lower handle. (5) Unplug the two power cables from the switch. (The wires are secured by "trapdoor" connectors.) To loosen the connector, insert a small pickaxe into the opening on the switch and pull the wire out of the switch. ） (6) Remove the power cord assembly from the device. (7) Remove the power cord protector from the power cord. 3. Prepare a new power cord (tin wire). (1) Using a wire cutter, cut the wire on the new power cord to the length of the original power cord (use the old power cord as a template). (2) Use wire strippers to strip approximately 1/4 inch of insulation from the new wire. (3) Using a soldering iron, apply the solder to the exposed end of the new power cord. (Tin plating allows wires to more easily engage trapdoor connectors on switches.) (4) Install the power cord protector to the new power cord. 4. Install the power cord. (1) Connect both power cables to the switch. (2) Install the switch assembly to the lower handle. (3) Secure the switch with screws. (4) Align the power cord protector with the slot on the lower handle. (5) Install the wire clip. (6) Secure the clamp with two screws. 5. Reinstall the top of the handle. (1) Stuff any exposed wires into the lower handle. (2) Install the upper part of the handle.
