The cameras do have an intervalometer built in but it is very basic compared to the PHOLSY. This wireless intervalometer allows you to set delay timer, exposure time, interval time and number of shots to record the sunrise and sunset, process of flowers and etc. The camera remote works great for focus / single remote shots right out of the box. The bulb feature is great for long time exposure photos. Four modes for shutter release control S: Shutter release mode / C: Continuous mode / B: Bulb mode / 2S: 2 sec. delay. This shutter release works great for bird watching. It is deal for the subject difficult to approach. Bracketed long exposure BKLN allows you to shoot photos at automatically exponentially changing exposure times. It is useful for shooting low-light multiple exposure HDR pictures, and enhance contrast and color for richer and more life-like images. (Camera needs to have the HDR function). Eliminating vibration Release the shutter remotely with no vibration to blur the images. The wireless remote control will be exactly useful for eliminating vibration and increasing image clarity for macro photography.
