Bring Out the Filmmaker in You The G70 includes a 1/2.3" UHD 4K CMOS sensor, a DIGIC DV 6 image processor, an 8-blade circular aperture, 5-axis image stabilization, a 20x optical zoom in 4K, and recording up to UHD 4K30 resolution. This streamlined model features a larger 3.5mm LCD capacitive touchscreen display, a higher resolution tiltable 0.36" OLED EVF, recording only in MP4 format, and fast USB-C video-only output with UVC support for live streaming to a computer. 4K 20x Optical Zoom Lens The VIXIA HF G70's lens covers a 29.3 – 601mm (35mm equivalent) range. Digital zoom boosts the 20x optical zoom to 800x magnification. To minimize camera shake, the camera provides Canon’s Dynamic IS 5-axis image stabilization. Canon 4K Sensor A 4K sensor and DIGIC DV6 image processor deliver crisp, sharp UHD images and an 8-blade iris achieves cinema-style out-of-focus highlights. Frame your shot with the ultra-bright 3.5-inch LCD or use the built in electronic viewfinder (EVF). On-Screen Display (OSD) “Time Stamp” Recording The OSD recording feature embeds date, time, timecode and other data into the original camera files, effectively "time stamping" the information into each frame of video, a requirement for legal and law enforcement videographers. For projects that require the date and time to be visible in the image, the camera will be able to include that information in the on-screen display while recording. Fast, Precise Focusing with Face Detection The VIXIA HF G70 features an advanced Hybrid AF system with focusing speed adjustable for either Fast or Smooth AF. Using the ultra-bright 3.5-inch LCD display, set the focus by simply touching the AF point you need. For even greater accuracy and convenience, especially with busy environments where you need to keep a subject in frame, Face Detection AF and Face Tracking is also available while Manual Focus is set via the focus/zoom ring. Beautiful Bokeh Shapes The VIXIA HF G70 features a circular aperture designed using EF lens series technology, providing natural and beautiful bokeh shapes that are nearly circular. MP4 Recording The VIXIA HF G70 supports MP4 recording, specifically, 4K UHD at 150Mbps 30P/24P, plus Full HD 35Mbps or 17Mbps at 60P/30P/24P. UVC Livestreaming Stream HD video directly from the camera via UVC to a PC or Mac computer.. USB-C cable required to connect to PC or Mac (Optional USB Cables IFC-400U, or IFC-150AB III not included). Audio output through USB is not supported.
