Does this camera have the same features as the one in the DXR-8 PRO kit? Yes — identical to the kit camera. Includes 720p HD, night vision, remote pan/tilt/zoom, room thermometer, interchangeable lens support, wall mount, and power adapter. Should I buy this add-on or a second full DXR-8 PRO kit? The add-on is the smarter choice for most families. Monitor multiple rooms from one parent unit. Only get a second full kit if two caregivers need to watch independently at the same time. Is setup difficult? Does it pair automatically? Quick and easy — takes 1 minute. On your DXR-8 PRO monitor, go to Menu → Camera Control → Add Camera. Then hold the Pair button on the new camera until the light flashes. Done.
