Fas-N-Tite Hot-Dipped Galvanized Common Nails are heavy-duty fasteners engineered for carpentry, general construction, and framing where strength and a secure hold are essential. Sized #9 x 3" (10d), they deliver the thick shank and dependable grip needed to join structural lumber and keep it tightly fastened over time. Each nail features a large-diameter smooth shank that is noticeably thicker than a standard box nail, giving it greater strength and far better resistance to bending as it is driven. The sharp point penetrates wood cleanly to help reduce splitting, while the wide flat head seats flush with the surface and spreads load for solid, long-lasting holding power. The smooth, unthreaded shank drives quickly with a framing hammer or pneumatic nailer, ideal for high-volume work. Made from carbon steel and protected with a hot-dipped galvanized coating, they resist corrosion from outdoor exposure, moisture, and weather. The hot-dipped process builds a thicker zinc layer than electro-galvanizing, so the nails hold up better in demanding exterior conditions. The thick zinc coating also helps the nails resist rust streaks and staining on the surrounding wood. Use them for decking, framing, fencing, sheathing, and general outdoor carpentry, including pressure-treated lumber. They are not recommended for use in cedar or redwood, where stainless steel is the better choice. Each 5 lb box holds approximately 314 nails, a ready supply for both repairs and new construction.
