Regular lubrication of the cutting units of your shredder is essential for maintaining optimal destruction performance. The Fellowes shredder oil sheets maintain the cutting blades to extend the life of your shredder. For best results, it is important to oil the shredder every time you empty the trash or at least twice a month. To oil your paper shredder, simply insert the lubricating sheet into the paper feeder and release it (for shredders with a wider paper feeder, you may need to use two sheets side by side). Once the lubricating sheet has been crushed, let the shredder run in reverse gear for 2-3 seconds. For safety reasons, do not use spray oils to lubricate the shredder. Such lubricants are petroleum based and can pose a serious fire hazard. This Fellows product contains 10 vegetable oil sheets and is suitable for all shredders. Regular lubrication is absolutely recommended for particle cut and microcut models.
