Gator Grip Anti-Slip Tapes Gator Grip Anti-Slip Tape uses our premium system to support a safer workplace. Made with a thick base layer and 60-grit mineral abrasive, its acrylic adhesive forms a water-resistant bond on most clean, dry surfaces. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use, it provides wear resistance and weather durability. Each roll comes in an illustrated box with instructions, size, UPC, and an open design to feel the Gator Grip texture. Developed with input from real-world use and customer feedback Suitable for long-term applications and OEM use Certified by the National Flooring Safety Institute 101-A as “High-Traction” Meets or exceeds industry standards including OSHA 1910.24/1910.26, ANSI A137.1/A326.3 Dynamic Coefficient of Friction Test, and AS/NZS 4586 Pendulum Test Recognized as “low slip potential” by the UK Slip Resistance Group (UKSRG) Preparation / Installation Instructions Cleaning Preparation It is very important that the surface the tape is being adhered to is free from all debris such as dirt, dust, grease and oil. A combination of 50/50 alcohol and water solution is usually adequate for the cleaning process. The wiper/cloth should be changed frequently (white cloth recommended). Heavy accumulation may require more aggressive cleaning techniques. Temperature Temperature is a critical factor in adhesive bonding and is often over-looked. All our tape products are intended to be applied in temperatures of not less than 50ºF (10ºC). In general the closer to room temperature the better the bonding. Pressure (psi) Tape products should be smoothed down with 15 psi of pressure or more. This will aid adhesive 'wet out' and result in better bonding. Time Once the tape has been applied, the adhesive bond will continue to strengthen as it has time to cure. The ambient temperature will affect this bonding time (the colder the slower), but as a general rule good bonding will not be fully achieved for 24-48 hours after the application.
