Always follow instructions and consult your pediatrician if you have any questions. What kind of batteries does the Giraffe use and how do I replace them? The Giraffe includes two AAA (1.5V) batteries. To replace them, slide off the battery cover and insert two AAA batteries, aligning the (+) and (-) symbols. Secure the battery cover back in place. Keep batteries out of reach of children. How do I clean the Giraffe after each use? Clean the casing and probe with a cotton swab moistened with warm water and neutral detergent. Keep the battery cover closed and do not immerse in water. To disinfect, wipe the casing and probe with a 70% isopropyl alcohol swab (3x) and air-dry. Does the Giraffe have screen color indicators for low and high fever? Yes. Backlit display uses green, orange, and red color indicators for quick assessment.
