The vent damper is installed in the exhaust duct, downstream of the hood or hazard management device. When the damper is in the closed position, it blocks airflow through the exhaust duct. When heat is required, the boiler receives a call for heat, the GVD motor activates, and the damper rotates through 90 degrees to the open position. The damper takes approximately 15 seconds to open or close. Once fully open, the burner ignites and the flue gases are exhausted through the vent pipe. Once the thermostat reaches the required level, the burner stops and the damper closes automatically. Adjustable Settings The boiler can be adjusted to automatic mode during normal working. If the boiler is not working properly and needs to be checked and serviced, the motor can be adjusted to hold on. Socket Easy Wiring During installation, the damper blades should be aligned with the GVD motor and the plug going into the motor should be properly keyed.
