Connect the red wire to a constant power source using a fuse tap. Connect the yellow wire to a circuit that only has power when the ignition is on (ACC). Securely ground the black wire to an unpainted metal point. Does hardwire cable have low voltage protection function? Yes, the hardwire kit features built-in low-voltage protection. It automatically cuts power to the dash cam when your vehicle's battery drops to 11.8V (for 12V systems) or 24.8V (for 24V systems), preventing battery drain.
