The LG LW8023HRSM window air conditioner brings smart, app connected control to a dual mode cooling and heating unit, built for bedrooms, living rooms, and apartments that want comfort and convenience from one appliance. Housed in a durable white cabinet with a slide in-out chassis, the unit installs into standard double hung windows and pairs with LGs ThinQ platform so temperature, mode, and fan speed can be adjusted remotely from a smartphone. Its most distinctive feature is built in WiFi connectivity, which also enables voice control through Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant, letting a user start cooling or heating before entering the room. A second standout capability is the Energy Save function, which cycles the compressor and fan intelligently once a set temperature is reached, trimming power draw without sacrificing comfort. Running on a standard 115 volt household circuit, the compressor delivers 7,600 BTU of cooling and 3,850 BTU of supplemental heat, rated for rooms up to roughly 330 square feet. Two cooling speeds and two heating speeds let the fan be tuned for quieter overnight operation or stronger airflow during peak heat, while four way air deflection louvers spread conditioned air evenly across the room. A built in dehumidifier mode pulls excess moisture from the air, and the digital control panel and included remote mirror the same settings for quick adjustments at the unit or from across the room. A 24 hour timer runs the schedule automatically, and auto restart returns the unit to its previous settings once power resumes after an outage.
