Third-party apps may also work, but connection steps can be different depending on the app and operating system.Connection Tips:For iPhone and iPad users, do not try to pair the adapter from the iOS Bluetooth settings page. Open a compatible OBD app first, then select Bluetooth LE / Bluetooth 4.0 / Bluetooth device connection inside the app. For Android users, some apps may require pairing with “OBDII” in the phone’s Bluetooth settings first, then selecting the same device inside the app settings.Please note that Bluetooth connection and vehicle ECU communication are two different steps. If your phone connects to the adapter but the app does not show vehicle data, make sure the ignition is ON or the engine is running, the correct connection type is selected, and the app shows ECU connected. Some vehicles may take longer to establish ECU communication.This adapter is intended for standard OBD-II engine diagnostics. It may not read every special sensor or manufacturer-specific module.
