Four sizes, from ages 3 to bigger adults. Measured flat, seam to seam - every size, and how to choose between them Small - ages 3 to 6 Fits up to 3'10" tall. Measured flat, seam to seam: 13 in chest width by 19 in length. A true youth cut, for preschool, daycare and the youngest teams. Medium - ages 7 to 10 Fits 3'10" to 4'6" tall, up to roughly 100 lb. Measured flat: 13.5 in chest width by 22 in length. Medium is a youth cut and sits close at the top of its range - if your player is near 4'6", or over 100 lb, order Large instead. Large - age 11 and up Fits 4'6" and up, through most adults. Measured flat: 17.5 in chest width by 26 in length. This is the size most adult rec-league players order. X-Large - bigger adults Cut for bigger adults, 200 lb and up, or anyone layering over pads. Measured flat: 19.5 in chest width by 26 in length. Note the length is the same as Large: X-Large is wider, not longer.
