Zero Setting Before using, clean the measuring face of the interchangeable rob and the face of the base with a soft cloth or soft paper. The zero position is set on an accurate flat with 25mm/1" interchangeable rob. Put on relative rob according to the measuring range, not necessary to reset when changing rob. If the line marked "0" on the thimble does not coincide with the reference line on the sleeve, adjust the zero position in the following manners. 1) Deviation within ±0.001" (or ±0.01mm) Lock the spindle with the locking device then adjust the sleeve with a spanner until the reference line comes exactly in line with the "0" line on the thimble. 2) Deviation over ±0.001" (or ±0.01 mm) Lock the spindle with the locking device and lose the ratchet stop by a spanner. Pressing the thimble to the ratchet stop brings it so that the "0" line coincides with the reference line on the sleeve. Fasten the ratchet stop and make the final adjustment.If necessary, in the former way. 2.
