Hillman Bright Corrugated Joint Fasteners are a fast, dependable way to join mitered wood corners. They are the classic solution for locking together the corners of picture frames, window screens, small boxes, and other light frame joints, pulling the two mitered ends tight without the need for screws, nails, dowels, or a long glue-up. The corrugated shape does the work. The three-eighths of an inch fastener has a rippled body with a sharpened bottom edge, and as it is driven across the seam of a joint the ridges bite into the wood on both sides and draw the pieces together, holding a firm connection under everyday handling once it is fully seated. Installation is quick and needs little more than a hammer. Position the mitered joint, set the fastener across the seam, and drive it straight down until it sits flush with the surface. This beats waiting on clamps and glue when you need to close and secure a corner and move on to the next one. Because the driven fastener leaves a rough look, set it on the back or underside of the work, where it stays out of sight in the finished piece.
