Yes, this light fixture is perfect for wall-mount or eave-mount. Does an electriction need to wire this? It needs to be wired by someone who knows as much as needed to wire any light fixture. It's fairly straightforward, a couple of wire nuts. The hard part is making sure the circuit is off and protected so nobody turns it on while you're touching.
