Remove and discard the inner nylon strip by pulling on the round tab on the inner side of the collar. 2: Fasten the collar around pet’s neck. Be sure two fingers fit between the collar and neck. 3: Trim excess length of collar beyond the buckle, leaving a couple inches to hold onto when you're ready to remove the collar. 4: Replace collar every 4 months or as needed. 5: Flea & Tick Collar is water resistant, not waterproof. Remove the collar for bathtime or extended swims, and put it back on afterward. NOTE: This product does not treat an active infestation. It helps prevent one. If you have an active infestation or you would like added layers of protection, use Flea & Tick Collar with: Flea & Tick Shampoo, Flea & Tick Pets + Home, and Flea & Tick Yard + Garden.
