Product description About the 928D Portable Soldering Iron Kit This portable kit includes a temperature-controlled soldering iron with essential soldering & desoldering tools and accessories. You can use the kit for general soldering and desoldering work on a broad range of standard-sized circuit boards and components. This is a complete soldering iron kit if you need reliable performance to get started in soldering, solder on-the-go, or have a backup soldering iron kit. Temperature Control You can select from a temperature range of 194°F to 896°F for your work. The built-in thermal couple will detect the actual temperature and power the soldering iron appropriately to safely and steadily reach the set temperature. PID Temperature Stabilization In conjunction with the temperature control function, the PID programme keeps the temperature stabilized at the set temperature when you're working on solder joints. How it works: As the soldering iron tip transfers heat onto the solder joint, the PID programme compensates the heat loss in milliseconds with just the right amount of power to keep your iron at the set temperature. Digital Temperature Calibration Temperature discrepancies may occur when using different soldering iron tips with different thermal mass. You can simply measure the soldering tip's actual temperature with a professional thermometer and key in the measured temperature value with this function. The system will then do the calculation and correct the temperature for you. Soldering Iron Holder The soldering iron holder snaps into the designated slot on the heat resistant work mat. In conjunction with the reusable sticker at the bottom, the holder provides a stable base for you to put the soldering iron safely while you’re working. The holder can be fitted with either the wet sponge, or the cleaning kit (brass wool & rosin) to clean the soldering iron.
