KitchenAid Fresh Prep Slicer/Shredder Attachment Transform your stand mixer into a versatile kitchen appliance that can help you tackle even more culinary tasks. 3mm Slicing Blade great for cucumbers, carrots, celery and zucchini; 4mm Medium Shredding Blade great for cheeses and firm vegetables, such as carrots, to a finer consistency; 6mm Coarse Shredding Blade great for shredding cabbages, potatoes and more. Slice or shred into any size bowl for just the amount you need. Juice citrus fruits quickly and easily with the power of your stand mixer. Simply attach the KitchenAid Citrus Juicer to the stand mixer hub and get juicing directly into a bowl, pitcher or cup. For everything you want to make. KitchenAid. This attachment turns your KitchenAid stand mixer into a citrus juicer, eliminating the need for a second appliance that would take up valuable kitchen storage and counter space. Its four parts--heavy-duty aluminum shaft, reamer, shield, and strainer--are easy to assemble and attach to the stand mixer's powerful motor. Turn mixer speed to level 6, and the reamer maintains a fast and steady spin. Press your fruit halves against it, and the juice pours out. You do have to exert a bit of pressure to extract all of the juice, but it's certainly not difficult to use. The strainer basket holds back the pulp and seeds as the juice flows into your pitcher. --Betsy Danheim
