Closing an in-ground pool for winter should not mean a green pool or hours of cleanup in spring. The Blue Wave Arctic Armor 25x45-ft Rectangular In-Ground Pool Cover is a heavy-duty solid pool tarp cover built to handle what the off-season brings, so the pool opens cleaner when it is time to reopen. It’s made with a 10x12 scrim count woven polyethylene, a dense material that forms a solid barrier against leaves, twigs, rain, and snow. The reinforced, heat-sealed seams run across the cover to lock out water, resist splitting, and help block moisture and debris. Because the panel is solid rather than mesh, water collects on top instead of draining through, and the black underside limits sunlight through the off-season to help slow dirt buildup and reduce cleanup at opening. This swimming pool cover is sized for 25x45-ft rectangular in-ground pools, with an extra 5-ft overlap that extends beyond the pool edge on every side. The grommets every 2 ft accept the included vinyl-coated cable and metal winch to cinch the cover down, and sewn water tube loops every 4 ft around the perimeter allow you to anchor the cover with water tubes (sold separately) for a snug, steady fit without deck anchors. A second person makes installation faster on a pool this size. This is a winter debris cover, not a safety cover. Do not walk on it or allow it to support weight. A layer of water on top is normal and helps hold the cover in place against wind; a cover pump (sold separately) can clear excess after heavy snow.
