The Petzl BOREA is a durable, versatile helmet designed specifically for women. The key feature of the BOREA is the semi-rigid OMEGA headband, which features a pronounced notch to comfortably accommodate a ponytail. The headband folds into the shell for compact storage. Like the Boreo, it features a Hybrid Construction with a thick, impact-resistant ABS shell and dual EPP/EPS foam liners. It is designed with Petzl's TOP AND SIDE PROTECTION label, extending lower in the rear to provide enhanced coverage against lateral, front, and rear impacts. TOP AND SIDE PROTECTION: Petzl helmets go beyond the industry standard of focusing only on impacts to the top of the head. Guaranteeing a certain level of protection from impacts to the top, sides, front, and rear of the head, Petzl helmets provide enhanced protection for all sorts of unexpected impacts.
OMEGA HEADBAND: Designed with a prominent notch in the back. Designed to fit easily while wearing a ponytail.
COMPLETELY LINED WITH FOAM: The interior of the BOREA is completely lined with EPP and EPS foam. These foams — working in conjunction with the outer shell —help the BOREA provide consistent impact absorption throughout the entire helmet.
HYBRID CONSTRUCTION: The BOREA helmet combines a thick outer shell made of ABS (for durability) with an EPS foam interior liner (to increase comfort and reduce weight). The BOREA also fits lower on the back of the head to further protect against impacts to the back of the head.
GOES ANYWHERE: Soft headband conforms well to the shape of the head and folds into the shell for storage and transportation. Suitable for multiple activities such as climbing, mountaineering, caving, via ferrata, and canyoneering.
