The Campbell Hausfeld DH540000 Gravity-Feed Pneumatic Spray Gun provides adjustable coating application for automotive, furniture and equipment finishing projects. The gravity-feed design uses a 13.5 oz. cup to supply coating to the gun, helping reduce material left in the canister and supporting easier cleanup compared with larger siphon-feed containers. Separate fluid, fan-pattern and air controls allow the spray output to be adjusted for the coating, workpiece and application technique. The fan pattern adjusts from approximately 1.5 to 6.5 inches, while the 1.5 mm fluid nozzle supports general-purpose finishing with compatible light-to-medium viscosity materials. The spray gun can apply compatible enamels, lacquers, polyurethane, urethane topcoats, basecoat and clearcoat systems, and primers. Always review the coating manufacturer’s instructions for thinning, pressure, nozzle compatibility, preparation, ventilation, drying and cleanup requirements before spraying. The DH540000 uses approximately 1.5 CFM at 40 PSI and has a 1/4-inch NPS male air inlet. Confirm that the connected compressor can maintain the required pressure and airflow during operation. Actual finish quality depends on coating viscosity, surface preparation, air pressure, gun adjustment, spray distance and application technique. The polished aluminum housing supports convenient exterior cleanup after use. Clean the cup, fluid passages, nozzle and air cap according to the operating instructions and coating manufacturer’s recommendations. Use the spray gun only in a properly ventilated spray area, eliminate ignition sources and wear appropriate respiratory, eye and skin protection for the coating being applied.
