Product description Have you needed more length on your winch rope? Have you needed to be towed out of a bog, but no one can get near you? This is the solution! Recovery Kit all set up ready to unwind This product has been developed in Australia where it has been used by us in many different scenarios, for recovering venison and recovering vehicles and even recovering logs. The deer in Australia (Sambar Deer), are very large up to 660 lbs and have an open season all year round, without any bag limit or tags required. A lot of the deer we hunt, especially on private property are recovered whole, as we are usually able to get within 550ft with a vehicle and if not, we have the spare reel with 650 ft on it that we can join for an extra-long recovery. No longer do we have sore backs from carrying very heavy back packs full of meat out of our rugged Australian forests. For 4 WD recovery, our kit is incredibly flexible because of the amount of length available to use, which has always been the greatest disadvantage of normal recovery setups. Our kit comes with 2 snatch rings, 2 soft shackles, 2 tree savers and two figure 8 rings, which covers most normal recovery situations. Maybe there is a use for you as well, where you can reap the benefits of such a helpful system. Amazing flexibility for 4x4 recovery This is doing a self recovery backwards With our recovery kit you have amazing flexibility in how it can be used to help recover vehicles in many situations and from 360 degrees. It can give a massive increase in length to your existing winch rope, either 550 ft or 650 ft depending which model is used. That means that for someone else to tow you out, they can be a very long way from you on firm ground. Alternatively, if doing a single vehicle recovery with your own winch, you can use it as a super long extension to go out forwards, or with the addition of one extra snatch ring kit you can pull yourself out backwards, with your forward mounted winch. (Our kit already has two snatch ring kits). Obviously you still need trees or other suitable anchor points, but with 550 ft of winch rope the chance of suitable anchor points being within reach, is greatly increased. Our light duty kit is suitable for game and light vehicle recovery, while our heavy duty kit will handle the largest 4x4's as well. Whether it is used for someone stuck in soft sand at the beach, or when someone is bogged to the axles in mud, having 550 ft of winch rope to extend the reach to a suitable anchor point or hard ground, can make all the difference. The easy way to recover all that venison. Tow rope all set up for recovering a big male deer We can recover whole deer or other game, up to 550 ft or 650 ft from where we can get the car. This image shows a section of the recovery rope, run out to where the big Sambar stag (buck) is. For this recovery we used the two included snatch ring kits to change directions, as quite often it is not suitable to do a straight pull. The car simply drives forward in any direction away from where the last snatch ring is set up on a tree. Even if you can only drive forward 20 or 30 yards, you can drive that short distance as many times as is required to retrieve the animal all the way to where the car can get to. For this recovery we pulled the stag up a near vertical bank after being dragged through the creek and a very large thicket of blackberries. We use 2 way radios to communicate because often we are hunting where we do not have phone reception and often the person driving cannot see what is happening 200 yards behind them. Mobile phones also work very well when in reception. We have found it hard to believe how successful this recovery kit is, to bring deer out of the most rugged terrain. Such a simple solution to a major problem Single figure 8 being used, but sometimes we use two in a row The genius in this entire kit is the method used to change the length of the rope to whatever length you want. Using a figure 8 ring with a 5 ton breaking strain, (not 3.5 ton), you can create a loop anywhere along the length of the rope. Using this method of tying only, it will not damage the rope, holds extremely well and is super simple to undo, regardless of how much strain is put on it. If towing out game you only need to use one ring, but if towing or winching with a very heavy badly bogged vehicle, it is best to make a bigger loop and use 2 rings. (One after the other). The unused part of the rope stays on the reel which goes back in the car, until it is time to wind up all the rope. When you need to change direction Tree Saver, Soft Shackle and Snatch/Winch ring x 2 Our kit comes with two of these setups so you can change direction twice in the one retrieval. Any number of extra snatch ring set ups can be used with our kit, regardless of the brand name. Often the best path of retrieval is not with a straight pull and often the vehicle needs to drive in a different direction to the direction the rope has been laid
