You have to be careful, though, because you'll need to balance how fast you play with saving resources for future turns and making sure you don't set up your opponent. This game is fast-paced, competitive, and more than a little addictive. Can you keep the gameplay light to allow an adult to play with an 8-year-old? Absolutely (hint: just give the adult a few extra tiles at the beginning). Can adults play competitively with the best players using chess-style strategies? Even better. It's quite challenging to explain what makes Latice gameplay so unique, but let me try. It's like a combination of Rummy, Sudoku, and a Rubik's Cube. The game can be won or lost in just a few turns, but you're never out of the game until the last tile is played. Bottom line, it's a great game that will be loved by everyone you share it with. A game you'll keep coming back to again and again.
