Both units are required together. Does the ODV-II work with Wii composite or S-Video output as well? Yes, the ODV-II converts composite (CVBS), S-Video, and YPbPr component signals. It is compatible with Wii, N64, GameCube, and other consoles that output these signal types, NOT RGB signals. Can I use the ODV-II alone to output to a modern HDMI TV without the ODV-GBS-C? No, the ODV-II converts signals TO component output only. For HDMI output, it must be paired with the ODV-GBS-C (ASIN: B0B4B2CM9F) which converts the component signal to HDMI for modern displays. Does this converter add any input lag during gaming? The ODV-II performs analog signal conversion without digital frame buffering, resulting in minimal processing delay that is not noticeable during normal retro console gameplay. Is the ODV-II compatible with RGB signal sources like SNES or Mega Drive via SCART? No, the ODV-II is NOT compatible with RGB signals. For RGB/SCART sources like SNES or Mega Drive, use the ODV-RGBS (ASIN: B0B2WD7BGY) or connect directly to the ODV-GBS-C via SCART input.
