The Petzl SARKEN is the mountaineer's secret weapon for navigating technical terrain, mixed climbing, and steep ice. These rugged 12-point steel crampons feature two vertical, toothed front points (T-shaped) that deliver superior penetration and bite on hard ice while maintaining solid purchase and stability in snow. Featuring the completely modular ALPEN ADAPT system, the SARKEN allows you to easily replace or swap front sections, linking bars, and bindings. The included LEVERLOCK UNIVERSEL binding system comes with both FIL and FIL FLEX toe bails, allowing the crampon to securely fit almost any mountaineering boot with a heel welt (fully automatic or semi-automatic). They also include the ANTISNOW system to limit dangerous snow buildup underfoot.
