The Petzl FOOTAPE is an adjustable webbing foot loop designed for comfort and ease of use during rope ascents. Unlike ultra-light cord loops that can be flimsy, the FOOTAPE is constructed from abrasion-resistant nylon webbing. This strap is slightly rigid, allowing it to hold its shape for easy step-in without needing to bend down and open it with your hands. This is a huge advantage when moving efficiently up a rope. It attaches to the ASCENSION or BASIC handled ascender via a Maillon or carabiner. It features a fully adjustable DoubleBack buckle to set the length precisely, and a height-adjustable elastic keeper to secure your foot in the loop so it doesn't slip out during the climb.
