GM Genuine Parts Fuel Injectors are designed, engineered, and tested to rigorous standards, and are backed by General Motors. These fuel injectors are electro-magnetic valves that meter fuel into the engine's intake manifold or cylinders for combustion. The engine control module (ECM) operates the injector by applying an electric current to the injector solenoid winding, causing the needle valve to open, and allowing pressurized fuel to be atomized into the intake airstream. GM Genuine Parts are the true OE parts installed during the production of or validated by General Motors for GM vehicles. Some GM Genuine Parts may have formerly appeared as ACDelco GM Original Equipment (OE).
