NOT COMPATIBLE WITH: 3/8" (9.5mm) chuck drills. I have a hammer drill. Can I use it? Yes, but with a critical setting: You must turn the hammer function OFF.​ Set your drill to Rotary-Only Mode. Using the hammer action will destroy the internal bearings of the mortiser and render it unusable. Does it require professional installation? No, the Meticuloso Door Lock Jig does not require professional installation. It's specifically designed for DIY use by beginners. Practice on scrap wood first before using on your actual door.
