Use the same cleaner the pool & spa professionals have been using for years. Remove Dirty filter or filters Locate filter/filters on hot tub or swimming pool filter. Filters will remove by either unscrewing or simply lifting out of the housing. Place items in an area where they can be serviced. For D.E. Filters remove the entire grid from housing and place in an area where the grid can be rinsed. Pro Tip: Rinse filters with water prior to applying iONRx filter cleaner. Apply iONRx Filter Cleaner Saturate the filter elements or grids with iONRx filter cleaner. You can adjust the nozzle to spray over a wide area or in a concentrated stream for in between the filter pleats. For D.E. grids you can spray cleaner inside all of the fins of the grid. Allow the cleaner to soak into the filter for several minutes to get into all areas to be treated. Thoroughly rinse filter Rinse filters with jetted water from top to bottom. Work the dirt from the top of the filter down to the bottom. You can work side to side or start at top and go all the way down. Then rotate the filter. You may need to rinse filter or grids several times for optimal performance. Pro Tip: For D.E. Grids DO NOT directly spray jet stream of water directly at the grids. You may tear a hole in the material. Re-install Filter----RESULT! For extremely dirty filters or grids a second application may be necessary. Once filters or grids look nice and clean reinstall them back into the filter housing. Start the spa or pool to get water running through the filter. You may notice a small amount of foaming from the cleaner, this is normal and should go away within a few minutes. See More
