Product description The Abbe refractometer serves for measuring the refractive indices ND and mean dispersion NF-NC of transparent or translucent liquid or solid (mainly measuring transparent liquid). Refractive indices and mean dispersion are one of the important optical constants of substance, which can be used to determine the optical properties, purity, concentration and dispersion etc. The instrument can measure the percentage of sugar content in the saccharose solutions (0 to 95%, equivalent to the refractive index of 1.333 to 1.531). At this moment, the value indicates the refractive index of the liquid to be tested. The values of refractive indices of the different positions will be imaged on the graticule with the help of the reflecting mirror, reading objective and parallelogram prism. Add one or two drops of naphthalene bromide or distilled water onto the HD refracting prism, it is calibrated with the standard module.
