It delivers long-term strength under extreme heat conditions, tolerating temperatures up to 3000°F (1648°C). Unlike traditional cement or gypsum mortars, this product requires firing to reach full durability and strength. Allow the masonry to dry for 48 hours at room temperature (64–72°F) before gradually increasing the heat to avoid cracking. Small cracks may appear during heat treatment—this is a natural process and does not compromise the structure. • 🔥 STRONG JOINTS THROUGH PROPER FIRING: Unlike cement-based mortars, this clay-based refractory mortar requires firing to develop strength. Let masonry dry at 64–72°F (18–22°C) for 48 hours before gradually igniting. Full sintering occurs at 2190°F, with minimum strength achieved at 750–1110°F (400–600°C).
