Faster FinishingStronger DrywallEasy InstallUSA Made Step 1: Cut the drywall Cut the board so the buttjoint edge lands between the studs, as close to the center as possible, instead of landing the buttjoint edge on a stud or joist as you’ve always done. Step 2: Hang the Rocksplicer Slide the Rocksplicer behind the board you have just hung. Orient as shown. Screw the edge of the board to the Rocksplicer (1 1/4 in. screws or larger are recommended). Run screws along the entire buttjoint edge, appx. 5” - 6” apart. Step 3: Fasten the boards Put up the second board as you normally would, and nail/screw the field. Finally, screw the buttjoint edge. Step 4: Get a flush finish You don’t have to learn any new techniques and the buttjoints can be finished the same as factory beveled edges. Finally, drywall buttjoints can be finished completely flat and only 12" wide. Step 1: Cut Step 2: Hang Step 3: Fasten Step 4: Finish
