Its rounded 7-blade diaphragm adds soft bokeh and defined starburst effects when stopped down. Autofocus is powered by a fast and silent internal motor that works smoothly with Sony’s hybrid focusing systems, making it suitable for video and photo applications. Manual focus override allows for precise control when needed. The durable aluminum alloy construction includes weather resistance and a built-in petal-style hood that shields the front element from light and accidental contact. Despite its high-performance optics, the lens weighs just 450g, making it easy to carry and use for extended shoots.
