Lots of drainage slots on each pot, they work with the overflow opening in the bottom corner to keep plants away from root rot and allow the roots breathe well. It's not only a water filling opening, but also the place you can observe the water level, we suggest you to water though this opening. When you water from the top(through the soil), slow down and carefully watch the water level to prevent overflows.
