The Zircon StudSensor Basic SL is a simple electronic stud finder wall scanner designed for everyday DIY mounting and home improvement projects. Built to locate the edges of wood and metal studs behind drywall, plaster and sheetrock, it helps users find a more reliable starting point before hanging pictures, mirrors, shelves, light fixtures, wall décor and other mounted items. This wall stud finder uses edge-detection scanning to locate stud edges up to 3/4 in. deep. Red LED indicators show when you are approaching a stud edge, while a green LED and audible alert signal when detection is reached. The built-in SpotLite Beam projects onto the wall at the detected edge, helping make marking faster and easier before drilling, fastening or mounting. For added ease of use, the StudSensor Basic SL includes over-the-stud detection, which warns when scanning begins directly over a stud and prompts the user to reposition the tool for proper edge detection. Compact, practical and beginner-friendly, it is a helpful stud finder tool for common drywall projects around the home. Requires one 9V alkaline battery, not included.
