Native 12-bit resolution gives 4,096 vertical levels — 16× the detail of an 8-bit instrument — enough to resolve power-supply ripple, sensor outputs, and small AC signals riding on DC offsets where 8-bit scopes lose them in the quantization floor.At 150 MHz with a ≤ 2.2 ns rise time, the UPO1152HD resolves the harmonics and switching transients that drive power-electronics design decisions — GaN/SiC switching nodes, gate-drive ringing, and EMI source identification on switch-mode supplies.
