In 2020, Suzuki celebrated the 100th anniversary of the company foundation and the 60th Anniversary of racing activities and introduced two machines in the highest MotoGP top class of the road racing world championship. The Suzuki GSX-RR team, which bears the name of Suzuki's true high-performance engine oil brand, "Exter", is equipped with a water-cooled 4-stroke row 4-cylinder engine and has been making steady progress every year since. The debut celebrated them in 2015. In addition, the colour scheme has been renewed compared to the blue colour of the previous year. The motorcycle was changed to a blue-silver colourway reminiscent of the GP racer who was active in the 1960s. The GSX-RR entrusted Joan Mir and Alex Rins fulfilled expectations with flying colours, J. Mir climbed onto the podium seven times, including the 13th European Grand Prix victory. A. Rins also won the 11th place, has thus also contributed to winning the team title by collecting points throughout the season, e.g. B. by winning the Battle Aragon GP.
